ZETTLER Multilogic Algorhytim Based Interactive Fire Detection Systems

What is an Addressable Fire Detection System?

Fire detection systems can be divided into two groups: conventional and addressable. Faults and fire alarms are determined point wise in addressable systems and zone wise in conventional ones.

All detectors, manual call points and modules can be addressable point devices in addressable fire detection systems. Compared to conventional system, this is a very important feature to quickly respond a fire event and to quickly find out a fire point in the building.

Addressable detector and call points have electronic software addressing feature in order to prevent any confusion during service and / or maintenance of the whole system and during any device replacement.

In addressable fire detection system, generally smart detectors are used in order to minimize false alarms. False alarms are a factor to reduce system reliability and cause a serious threat to the building on real alarms since people tend to not take any notice. That’s why it is a serious advantage for the system to have this addressabilty feature.

Detector lines (loop) in an addressable fire detection system are generally Class A type, meaning that the loop which leaves the control panel also returns to the control panel. Therefore, all detectors, call points and modules continue working on even if a line breakage fault.

Addressable fire control panel acts as a system administrator by analyzing data received from the detectors with software and fuzzy logic algorhytims. With this important smart task, fire control panel can activate the fire alarm scenario with its programmable structure by activating alarm outputs in the building. Fire control panel can monitor and control other 3rd party electromechanical Systems easily. Thus the system can have a much wider protection capability within the building.

ZETTLER Multilogic Algorhytim Based Interactive Fire Detection Systems

As one of the world’s first fire detection manufactures with a history more than 130 years, ZETTLER under the umbrella of JCI (Tyco) provides high level system durability and reliability with its technological design. It is an A+ quality manufacturer company which manages transition from analog technology to digital communication technology with flexible and steady German engineering experience.

ZETTLER was able to combine multiple sensor technologies in a single product 3oTec and create smart technology devices which verify each other before deciding fire alarm state and thus minimize false alarms.

ZETTLER also manufactures addressable detectors such as smoke, heat, flame, manual call point, addressable module, etc. which are ATEX certified besides the classic certificate and approvals.

The latest point in addressable fire detection system development is electronic addressable multilogic-algorhytim based interactive system. In these systems, field devices such as detectors, call points, monitor and control modules have microprocessors which are fitted with various fuzzy logic fire algorhytims. While in other systems the deciding factor is the control panel, in multilogic interactive systems, this authorization is given to the far elements which are detectors. This way, fire detection systems work more reliably by getting rid of all false alarms thanks to even smarter detectors. The system which ZETTLER developed on this area is called FLEXIBLE Fire Detection System.

Up to 250 addressable devices can be connected to a single loop with no liminations on detector or module count. This way, loop design can be made more flexibly and economically.

Branching and branching inside branches can be made in a fire loop, thus providing savings in the loop.

A single fire loop can extend up to 2000m with 2x0.8mm2 cable and 250 addressable devices.
