The most important units of a fire alarm system are the electronic fire detectors mounted on the ceilings where the smoke and hot air generated during the fire are collected in all closed spaces. These detectors are generally sensitive to smoke and heat, and can detect the chemical images of the combustion, often before it ignites, while the fire has not yet started. When the detector transmits its fire to the fire control panel, to which it is connected to the alarm, the control panel not only informs the location of the fire that it has written with sound and light, but also makes the fire sirens sound in all protected areas of the building.
