KBS Coating

The coating type firestop material is a water-based coating, specially produced to stop fire on cables and cable bundles and cable shafts. It is not affected and deformed in any way by moisture, water, corrosive solvent or similar chemical mixtures. It is resistant to difficult environmental conditions and does not lose its resistance coefficient against fire in such environments.

·       The main purpose of using the coating is to prevent the flame from spreading over the cable in case of a possible fire in vertical or horizontal cable paths.

·       Coating also delays the short circuit that may occur on the cable due to fire and heat.

·       The LOI (LimitingOxygen Index) value of Coating, which is an ablative type coating, is 100. This value shows that there is no Oxygen in the material and it is definitely resistant to burning.

·       Coating can be used with both a brush and a spray gun.

·       Coating can also be used with Panel type coatings. With the "coating" applied on the mineral wool panel, it is possible to prevent the passage of fire in the cable shafts.

·       Coating has no effect on the current carrying capacity (ampacity) of the cable in which it is applied.

·       Coating has no side effects on the human body and skin. It does not contain harmful substances such as asbestos and phosphate.

·       Coating not only protects electrical cables against fire, but also increases their resistance against bad weather conditions.

KBS FoamCoat

 The coating type firestop material is a water-based Intumescent coating, specially manufactured to stop fire on cables and cable bundles and/or electrical and mechanical shafts in indoor environments.

The main purpose of using FoamCoat is to prevent the spread of smoke, toxic gas and vapor that will occur in the first phase of the fire to the building through the shaft gaps in case of a possible fire in vertical or horizontal shaft passages.

·       Due to its intumescent type, FoamCoat expands by increasing its original thickness 50 times when it encounters fire.

·       FoamCoat can be used with both a brush and a spray gun.

·       FoamCoat can also be used with Panel type coatings. With the "Foamcoat" applied on the mineral rock wool panel, it is possible to prevent the passage of fire in the fire zones of both electrical and mechanical shafts.

·       FoamCoat has no side effects on the human body and skin. It does not contain harmful substances such as asbestos and phosphate.
