KBS Mortar, which is stored in 25 kg bags in powder form, is mixed with water at a certain rate and turned into a mortar when applied to the cable shaft. The mortared KBS Mortar cable shaft is polished with a trowel.

KBS Mortar is a dry mortar mix with controlled swelling effect to provide non-shrinking, homogeneous and flue gas tight fire insulation for cable penetrations. KBS Mortar expands during solidification to provide a tight, crack-free seal (up to 3%)

• KBS Mortar has demonstrated a fire resistance of up to 240 minutes in different thicknesses in accordance with all major standards.

• New cables can be easily laid in KBS Mortar. The material exhibits low compressive strength and allows drilling.

• KBS Mortar has a density of 0.6g/cm3. It provides consumption advantage in unit m2 and m3.

• When the KBS Mortar application is completed, no cracking, breakage or shrinkage occurs on the mortar.

• It does not require any additional additives (mastic, foam, etc.) during application.

KBS SealBags 

KBS Sealbags is a pillow type fire protector material and is specially manufactured for use in environments where assembly and deassembly takes place time to time. (Especially in cable shafts where new cables are drawn or replaced from time to time such as telephone exchanges, data processing centers, operation centers)

This pillow type material (KBS Sealbags) consists of tightly packed mineral fiber fibers, non-combustible materials, special water-insoluble mixtures and very special fire retardant additives compressed into a glass fiber fabric bag.

• Thanks to its special chemical mixture, KBS Sealbags expands its volume by approximately 45% depending on the ambient temperature it applies, preventing the passage of gas and smoke, as well as solidifying at approximately 800°C, preventing the fire from traveling over the cable.

• KBS Sealbags are water and weather resistant. It certainly does not lose its feature in all bad weather and environmental conditions.

• It does not contain cancer-causing asbestos or other toxic substances.

• KBS Sealbags can be easily inserted into the cable shafts or retracted, making it easy to pull new cables.

• KBS Sealbags has international test reports showing that it can delay fire up to 4 hours in various thicknesses. KBS Sealbags can be mounted on both horizontal and vertical cable shafts.

• It is possible to fill even small gaps in cable shafts with the options of different sizes and volumes of KBS Sealbags.

KBS PipeSeal 

KBS PipeSeal is a firestop pipe clamp specially produced for flammable (PVC, HDP, PPR, etc.) pipes. In the event of fire, it prevents the spread of flames, hot gases and smoke from the plastic pipes entering the walls and floors of the fire compartment.

• It is easy to use and install.

• The very flexible swelling material is unaffected by neither water nor carbon dioxide.

• It has excellent aging resistance.

• The KBS PipeSeal consists of a flexible red powder-coated steel collar with locking and fixing clamps. The swelling material is fixed on the steel jacket.

KBS PipeSeal  Wrap

KBS PipeSeal Wrap is a firestop pipe wrap specially produced for flammable (PVC, HDP, PPR, etc.) pipes. In the event of fire, it prevents the spread of flames, hot gases and smoke from the plastic pipes entering the walls and floors of the fire compartment.

• KBS PipeSeal Wrap is an intumescent product containing intumescent compounds, flame retardants, fillers and additives.

• KBS PipeSeal Wrap absorbs the water to which it is exposed, but this does not change its fire protection properties, the product has good compatibility with different chemicals.
